TM3 Automotive is a family owned shop in Harker Heights, Texas, working on cars, trucks and commercial fleet vehicles for drivers across Killeen, Belton and Temple. It has a 4.8 on Google from 163 reviews, and readers of the Killeen Daily Herald have voted it one of the best in Central Texas for service repair three years running.
Before this, everything the shop offered sat on a single page on a website builder. We rebuilt it on WordPress and launched it on August 31, 2026. Here's what we built, and why.
The Homepage Hero
A homepage has one job: answer who are you, and can I trust you, then send people to the page that answers their question. So the hero leads with proof. The shop's Google and Facebook ratings sit above the H1 as badges that link to the real profiles, and under it are the three reader award seals, with the source written right below them.
The H1 says Family Owned Auto Repair in Harker Heights, TX, the city the shop is in. Killeen has its own page, so keeping Harker Heights on the homepage means the two pages aren't competing for the same searches.
Homepage Sections
Below the hero, the homepage runs from a short welcome to the services, then how a repair works, financing, the makes they work on, and reviews right above the last call to schedule. Each of the five repair steps comes from something a customer said in a review or copy the shop approved, so none of it promises something the shop doesn't do.
Some sections came out along the way. A signs-you-need-a-mechanic section went, because anyone on a mechanic's website already knows they need one, and a wall of car brand logos became simple tabs for Asian, domestic and European makes.
Service and Area Pages
The site has a page for Killeen, the biggest city next door, and a first service page for car AC repair, chosen because of how many people search for it. The AC page talks about what drivers there deal with: Killeen's hot season runs about three and a half months, and the page explains why that wears AC systems out faster.
It also explains why AC repair costs more on some cars than others, which comes down to the refrigerant the car uses, and lists what the shop checks before quoting the job.
The Mobile Layout
On a phone, the header stays fixed at the top of the screen with the shop's address, a call button and the menu, so the number is one tap away anywhere on the site.
The ratings and the award seals still make the first screen on a phone, so the proof comes before any scrolling.
